Volunteer in Honduras!

Helping Honduras Kids is looking for volunteers who have a solid work ethic and desire to share their time and talents helping our children. We welcome volunteers of any race, religion or country of origin and are particularly interested in long-term volunteers that are bi-lingual. We invite musicians, artists, computer wizards, storytellers, karate, soccer experts and other talented people, who would like to offer workshops or performances for the children and others in the community.  We desire the minimum volunteer period to be typically 4-weeks. Most of our volunteers enter Honduras on a tourist visa that they are responsible to renew every 90 days. HHK volunteers also pay their own travel, food and incidental expenses.  We prefer volunteers that are (20) years and older and are bi-linguel.  All volunteers must complete an application, clear a background check, and sign a waiver.  Volunteers will also be required to have International Emergency Medical Insurance and travel liabilaity insurance. Volunteers need to also be up-to-date on all childhood immunizations. Discuss this with your doctor/health provider.

Helping Honduras Kids also welcomes University, Church or Work groups to perform needed service projects in Honduras. These teams need to coordinate with our Volunteer Coordinators and provide the needed supplies to complete the project. It is a great experience for these groups to come to Honduras and help impoverished children in need. Medical and dental assisting teams are invaluable in taking care of our children's medical and dental needs.  Many of our university or church groups, individually sponsor a child and truly make a difference in the  lives of these children.
