Work/Church Groups Opportunities
Helping Honduras Kids welcomes University Clubs, Medical/Dental Missions or Church/Work Groups to volunteer and do service projects for HHK. Medical and dental missions are invaluable to helping HHK care for the medical/dental needs of “our “children. Please click on our Community Programs page for ideas on how your club or organization can help HHK. Each Work Team is expected to provide tools/supplies needed for their organization to complete these important projects. If you are a work group and are interested in volunteering please fill out our volunteer Application Form or email us at volunteer@helpinghonduraskids.org for more information. Many of our work/church group volunteers sponsor a child in need, so visit our Sponsor a Child page today and see the pictures of many of our kids. Take the time today by donating only $25 per month to sponsor a Honduran child. Click on the Donation-Net box to the right.
A recent University group came from Vanderbilt University to build bookshelves at the Hogar De Amor (orphanage). It is very rewarding to HHK and to each member of the work/church group to give of themselves and donate their love, labor and dedicated service to complete needed projects for the children. Our orphan children appreciate this service more than you will ever know! We look forward to your work/church group coming to Honduras soon to work. We know your group will grow to love the children like we do!
We would like to also take the time to especially thank the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church youth and leaders for coming down and building our new Jungle School classroom and the Rural Hogar school.
Thank you also to the Rotary Club of Eden Prairie, MN who helped us by donating a large van and container of books, and fans, etc.
Without groups like these, it would be very difficult to complete all the projects and take care of the kids like we want to.
This is a recent group of volunteers that came to help us this past March 2010.

Helping Honduras Kids believes that opportunity, education, hope and love are what children need to break the cycle of poverty and abuse. A loved, educated and happy child in Honduras has a real chance to succeed!
