The Helping Honduras Kids Jungle School is the first and only school in Honduras to participate in the international Dream Flag project. Using paint and flags and other art supplies donated by Project Learn School in Philadelphia, PA, students at both the Hogar and Cuenca locations worked with in-country volunteers to write about and paint their dreams . . .

hello eve! how is everything? i hope you are well.. Unfortunately, I AM SOO SORRY! i took like seriously over 50 pictures of the dream flags, but later on that month, one of the kids was using my camera and accidently somehow clicked the delete all button! so i lost all my pictures

so i'm really sorry i don't have any to give you, but i seriously took soo many they just got deleted, along with all my other pictures. Now i always lock my pictures. but i can still tell you about it.
It was quite a workout to get the kids to open up to the idea of dreaming. They never really did things like that before. We had to offer a lot of ideas but then once they started most of them could get on a roll. We worked one on one with each child when they were writing their poems and I think they turned out really well. Some have bigger dreams than others but they are all dreaming and thats what matters.
They really enjoyed painting the flags and having their very own flags. Especially glueing on all the little jewels and sparkley stuff. There was paint left over afterwards in their pallets and we had many paintings in the room and many dirty hands, faces and clothes. But it was very colourful, and the kids really enjoyed using all those new and special things.
